Flex your specialization with SCIT MBA

Many times, as a student, one is perplexed which path to choose.  Specially, when it comes to niche areas within IT Businesses for an MBA.  Even at SCIT, we have been continually trying new methods  to guide students and put him or her on the right track.
Very early in the formative years of SCIT, the board members had felt giving specialization in just one or two terms, in fact, was no specialization at all but only a familiarity.  Over the years SCIT experimented and started offering MBA specilisations that start from the very first semester.  This model yielded tremendous results in creating excellent professionals who could start delivering from Day One in the industry. Yet, finding the ‘right fit’ of specialization to a student, depending on student’s inclination, personalty make-up etc. still required some honing.
This year however the brain-storming and then design by the SCIT faculty has indeed led to an innovative plan offering a genuine flexibility in academics while remaining within the framework of the university structure.
The turning point at SCIT curricula is indeed academic flexibility.  MBA programme structure offers electives in FIVE different categories of IT domains like Information Security, Networks & IT Infrastructure, Systems , Software Solution Management  and General Management from the very first semester.  A student does not have to decide while registering which specialization he or she desires to be admitted to and choose electives across to get a feel. As time marches, one could come to a conclusion whether to seek further specialization or remain at MBA (IT Business Management).
How do you like that?

Flowers make my day

Every morning when I occupy my chair what I see on my desk is a lovely flower arrangement in a bowl of water.  Two arrangements are never the same even though the bowl and water have a permanent place. The magical artist is my own office attendant, Ravi.
Until  last year no one knew he had such exceptional talents. All that I knew was his proactiveness and promptness in what he was to do. Suddenly one day he came with a few flowers that had picked from the ground of our campus. Probably he too did not know what to do with them; so he arranged them in a bowl of water as he could not put them in a vase.  Since then it has become a daily ritual.  His arrangements are in demand from various office staff.  Appreciation of visitors fills me with as great a joy as if I had created this beautiful piece of art.
Now if a bowl of flowers is not on my desk, the day is not the same!
